My Fashion Shoot

Ahhh...Hari Raya is just a few days away. I am looking forward to the big day to "balik kampung" and meet up with Atuk, Wans, uncles, aunties and cousins.

Raya also means new outfit for me. Today (Monday) I tried my pinkish leopard shoes Ma bought for Raya. Pa made me pose for him (excuses) and here are the result:

Garden shot...when I was not ready!

Is this pose okay, Pa?

The morning sun was getting too hot for me and Pa opted for the shaded area under the porch to continue our shoot.

A serious look

A casual smile

A puzzled look

The shy look

Happy Cleaning Girl

The ladder prop pose...Jau Jau Cak!

After the hectic photo shoot, I had my afternoon siesta...Pa too. Later in the evening, we went to Giant...Pa wanted to buy things to bring to kampung.

Last Saturday, Pa, Ma & I were at Mak Ngah's house in Pelangi Semenyih to fetch Wan Bintong. We left Seremban via the old Seremban-Kajang route before noon. The journey was smooth with light traffic along this federal road. Its either people have left for their respective kampungs earlier or decided to make the trip on Sunday/ Monday. Afterall, Hari Raya falls on Wednesday...still ample time to make some last minute shopping etc etc.

We reached Semenyih about 12.30 noon and decided to check out what they have in little Semenyih town.

This petai trader arranging his petai at the entrance to the Semenyih market caught Pa's attention

A vagabond wanders aimlessly with a packed food; probably given by a good hearted samaritan.

After getting some food, we left Semenyih town for Mak Ngah's house. Mak Ngah, Pak Ngah, Kak Cik & Wan were there.

As usual, I needed time to get myself accustomed to a new environment. Last time I came here was quite a while back.

Doing my 'close-my-eyes' shy gimmick.

Once in a while trying to take a peek

We left Mak Ngah's house just after 3.00pm together with Mak Ngah and Kak Cik. They were heading for Shah Alam to fetch Kak Long for the Raya break while we went to Semenyih again to get medication for Wan from a clinic there.

Soon we were on our way south...taking the old route. We decided to stop at the Pasar Ramadhan in Paroi to buy some food stuff for breaking fast later in the evening. Wan had agreed to go to Simpang Ampat; Maka Lang's place to spend a couple of days before going back to Rembau.

The Pasar Ramadhan in Paroi was not as busy as before. Most of the traders have closed for the Hari Raya and the customers were also busy doing other shopping elsewhere.

A petai trader doing online sale?

Ma busy choosing sweet stuff from the agar-agar stall

Next was some dishes to bring to Mak Lang's house.

This sugar cane juice would have been very busy before...but not today.

So was this stall selling an assortment of drinks...some readily packed.

Wan making her purchase of some fruits.

Ma & Wan walking to our car...thats quite a lot Ma has in her hands.

Pa took the PLUS highway to Simpang Ampat to save time. The trip along the highway was smooth too. We reached Mak Lang's house before 6.00pm. Mak Lang, Pak Lang, Kak Ngah & Kak Sofea were out when we reached there.

By 6.45pm they were home and we all waited for the call of azan for breaking fast.

The setting sun painting a little orangish glow on the trees.

And it was soon time to break fast...Pak Lang having his rice while Bang Cik munch away some fruits. That looked liked Kak Sofea on the ladder in the background.

This is Kak Sofea...giving a pose for Pa

After Maghrib prayers, we left Simpang Ampat for Jusco in Melaka. Ma wanted to get some things there. We reached Air Keroh about 9.30pm with many cars parked along the main road. The Jusco complex was packed with the usual last minute shoppers; we included.

To save time, only Ma went in Jusco while Pa & I waited in the car.

As usual Pa made himself busy with some night shots.

This well lighted tree was so inviting that Pa stopped on our way back from Jusco.

On the way back we stopped by the Air Keroh Overhead R&R. It was rather quiet for a Saturday night at this R&R. Perhaps road users prefer the normal R&R.

Look how deserted the walkway was!

Ma decided to treat us to KFC

This sweet kakak served us.

Even the KFC was quiet...wonder how the survive business here.

The food is on the table...so when do we start to eat?

Aaaah...of course; the doa recital by Pa as Ma & I cupped our hands to say Amin.

"Can I have that one, please"

Ma still able to pose at the wee hours of the morning.

Before leaving the R&R, Ma bought some dishes for sahur.

Along the way home, Pa stopped near the Pedas/ Linggi exit to let Ma take over the driver's seat. Pa was too sleepy to drive. Ma drove us home safely, reaching home just after 1.00am.

What a Saturday we had...we covered Semenyih-Paroi-Simpang Ampat-Air Keroh...covering 3 different states in a day. What a feat!

Last Friday, my cousins (Ma's eldest sister's kids) came back to kampung for the weekend and buka puasa. We seldom get to be in a group like this, so it was a great moment for Pa to capture us together.

Its also an opportunity to get acquainted with my cousins.

A group shot...Abg Nasrul, Kak Aishah, Badrun and Abg Lotfi...Abg Kemal is somewhere back there.

A puzzled me...still trying to fit in the group.

Looking from a distant...waiting to break the ice.

We finally 'clicked' and were enjoying each other's company but not long enough since we had to go leave for our Seremban home.

Its nice to meet them again once in a while...perhaps this coming Hari Raya we'd get a chance to spend more time together again.

Rusty Engine

Its been a dragging week now that the toiletries are lacking. Perhaps having a seat here might trigger some interesting things today.

This area is gradually picking up and is not as grey as the above photo. Will need to do more storyline type of photography after this.

Hi guys! A thousand apologies for the long silence...just been a little distracted by Pa's new gadget...Nikon D80.

Anyway, I am 2 years old today...22nd Ramadhan. Pa & Ma bought me a cake to celebrate the occasion; just a simple cake cutting affair minus the candle blowing stuff.

Here's some shots to share...

I am a big girl now

Yup! Thats No. 2 alright...and thats my age today...22 Ramadhan

A slice for my dearest Pa

Following Pa's footstep...photography!

Hope to start again blogging...A New Age...so its only appropriate to have a new webpage. This will have to do for the moment...

Good to be back!
